I've been lactose intolerant for 40+ years and have tried many products over the years. Bactose does work but with the caveat that your milage may vary. For me, it lasts the entire month, but I'm still gassy. It's not the evacuate the house gassy (you know what I'm talking about) but still much more than if I avoided all dairy products. It has solved the other bathroom issues that comes with being lactose intolerant so that is a huge bonus. I'll continue to use Bactose but for quality of life, I'll just limit my dairy exposure. I was hoping Bactose could allow me to fully incorporate dairy into my life that isn't the case. At least now, I can enjoy eating out without worrying if something was cooked in butter.
No stomach pains if I eat some dairy. I’m starting slow. I did have something rich recently and had bloating but no pain at all! All signs point to major progress!
Honestly I didn’t have real high hopes for this. Being lactose intolerant most meds only work so much. Lone it will lessen symptoms but not take away if I eat milk products. Before my intolerance I LOVED ALL THINGS CHEESE. I loved milk. I loved cottage cheese. Cream cheese. Sour cream. Yogurt. And ICE CREAM. OH HOW I MISSED ICE CREAM. the lactose free versions are close. But not right. So I found this. Thought might work. Let me tell you. For me. Yes it worked. Oh my has it worked. I started playing fast and loose with the cheese and milk products as soon I completed the 7 day course.
And I DO NOT HAVE THE SYMPTOMS!!! None zero zilch. None!!! I can not tell you how literally life changing this is!! It had opened up all the foods I love to cook and eat.
This stuff is amazing. For 20 years I'd taken 2 lactase tablets before eating any dairy. It didn't seem like a big deal, but now with Bactose I just eat whatever I want. The freedom from lactase supplements has truly been wonderful.
As for frequency, at first I only made it about 25 days before needing to start another pack, but now I'm at about 30 days. Taking twice a day for a week on an empty stomach is a small price to pay for being able to eat like a normal person. And speaking of price, I was spending about the same amount on lactase supplements as I do on Bactose--easy decision!
Well done bactose, well done. I’d like to see more research journals showing the bacteria at work.

Common side effects of probiotics?

This discomfort is often a sign that the beneficial bacteria are remodeling, detoxifying and improving the gut environment. If this occurs, stop taking Bactose™ until the discomfort has subsided, then continue by taking 1 capsule per day. Resume back to the standard dosage if tolerated, continue taking until all capsules are finished. If intestinal cramps or discomfort do not resolve, or if severe, stop taking Bactose™ and consult your physician. For more information visit: http://www.probioticscenter.org/bloating-and-probiotics
